III. My Big Idea
Demonstrating new ways of approaching old problems and challenges to the status quo, what makes your idea innovative, refreshing, and original? What do you speak about?
I present a fascinating challenge to the status quo centering on the human condition, why our perceptions of history are inaccurate, as well as what we need to know to fix a severely broken relationship between ancient history and modern society. Knowing where our words come from illuminates the mind, cleanses the body, liberates the spirit, and changes our perspective. Understanding what we are saying, as well as the power and influence behind what we say, will bring people on opposite sides of an issue to the discussion table. This is when we begin to remember what we lost through the millennia.
How does your idea flow?
Using the cosmology of our solar system as a platform, subject matter relating to linguistics, economics, history, health, and wealth is discussed. Topics include extraterrestrial intervention, alien contact, the Moorish legacy, the Temple of Solomon, the gene for passion, and the human being’s place in the scheme of things.
Working title of your talk:
Confessions from an Ancient Astronaut
Summarize your big idea as a call to action in one sentence:
If there is to be a brave new world, we must rediscover our ancient legacy for a new generation.
What impact or desired outcome do you want your talk to have with your call to action? What are your speaking goals?
I want my talk to have an educational and societal impact that raises awareness of the world we live in, giving the audience a breakthrough understanding that empowers people to realize how important we truly are in this grandest of all adventures known as life.
What is your devotion and discipline?
I am devoted to the Ancient Astronaut Theory of our diverse human origins, the Moorish Legacy of our planet, and Official First Contact initiatives for humanity's immediate future. I believe that any and all goals I strive to succeed within this life are for the benefit of tomorrow's generation in the immediate and distant future, moving our present collective mindset one step closer to Official First Contact.
Quote from your talk:
“We must focus on the lost knowledge of where we come from before we can truly understand the ancient wisdom of where we are going on the path of our everyday lives.” – Richard Smith

What makes you uniquely qualified to share this idea? What is your public speaking experience? What makes your idea special and unique?
What makes me uniquely qualified to share this idea centers around my lifelong, firsthand experiences since childhood; I am a third-generation experiencer. I have a great passion for lost knowledge, ancient astronauts, and our human origins throughout the cosmos. My idea comes from the confessional perspective of an ancient astronaut in the modern world.
As a published author, I love speaking, teaching, and writing about extraterrestrial contact, the Moorish Legacy, ancient astronauts, and related matters. My family’s generational encounters have inspired me to create my official website, ufoteacher.com, which serves to raise our awareness, enlighten the community, and move the world forward.

What is your favorite TED Talk and why?
How to build a school in 3 hours with Taylor Conroy at TEDxJuanDeFuca
His innovative persistence to acheive his dream of building a school for less fortunate children is admirable and represents the foundational spirit that drive me as an Official First Contact advocate.
How To Record Silence with Nasreen Sheikh at TEDxVail
Her resilient uphill battle and perseverance to succeed against all odds represent the ancient Vril Power of the Female Principle and the Feminine Goddess Energy reclaiming its rightful legacy on this planet.
If you could dream up any adventure with attendees (a free, rare behind-the-scenes, casual way of engaging you in a memorable experience), what might it be?
Exploring one or more ancient sites within the local area of where I am speaking. Giving attendees a chance to discover the one thing that has been discouraged in human origins discussions, Ancient America. Check out this article, "Ancient home has answers underground".
What creative experience would you design with attendees to anchor your big idea?
I would challenge attendees to think about where they perceive certain words originated from versus where those words actually came from.
If you could give each attendee or speaker a gift, what might it be and why? Consider these values: Radical Inclusion, Gifting, Decommodification, Radical Self-reliance, Radical Self-expression, Communal Effort, Civic Responsibility, Leave No Trace, Participation, and Immediacy.
I would give them each $100,000 to pay off all their outstanding debts. If we are talking about values such as Communal Effort and Civic Responsibility, that would be the way to go. Liberating someone from perpetual economic slavery is the first step towards personal growth, reflecting on our inner demons, and spiritual emancipation.
Briefly summarize your personal story relating to your idea.
My mother, my brother, and I were leaving our grandmother's house one evening. As we got into the car, we all noticed a strange object or light in the sky directly over our grandmother's house. As we pulled out of the driveway and headed home, we noticed the strange object was keeping pace with the speed and direction of Mom's car, following the same path on the road we were taking. Heading towards the other side of town, we had several miles to travel to where we lived, which made it quite clear that this object in the sky was staying with us all the way.
At a certain point, we came to an intersection with a red light and had to stop. The object stopped with us at the same time in the sky. It then began to make sharp, right-angle maneuvers that were noticeably deliberate while moving in slow motion with backward, forward, and side-to-side movements. When the light at the intersection turned green, the object once again matched its pace with us, escorting us all the way to our house. This singular moment in my life took place in 1981 when I was 11 years old, and it opened my eyes to a much bigger galactic community waiting to be revealed.
A few years later, my 8th- grade teacher, Mr. Murphy, would spring an idea on us during science class. One of my classmates had asked how we were supposed to reconcile creationism with evolution, a burning question that many of us had on our minds that day. Mr. Murphy went silent for a moment before answering. "Consider this. What if our prehistoric ancestors had reached a point in evolution where they could stand upright but had no consciousness or sense of being? At this point, something of a higher power would have come down from the sky to give our ancestors the ability to think with a sense of consciousness and identity." Sure, it may have been the politically correct answer for a science teacher to give at the time in a Roman Catholic school. Regardless, that concept, which none of us had ever heard before, remained embedded in my thoughts from that day forward, expanding my horizons as well as my perspective on the experience I had in 1981.
These two personal aspects of my formative years laid the foundation for my first awakening at the age of 21.
How does your personal story support your idea?
I love to speak, teach, and write about our lost knowledge and ancient wisdom. I believe that we must focus on the lost knowledge of where we come from before we can truly understand the ancient wisdom of where we are going on the path of our everyday lives. To understand the origins of humanity is to avoid repeating history’s mistakes today, giving my kids, my nieces, and all future generations a chance to inherit a better tomorrow.
Why would an audience want to hear this idea from you specifically?
I am the cofounder and CEO of 11:22 Creative Design. I received high honors at New York State University for my dedicated work with extraterrestrial intervention and alien contact phenomena. As an author, I have published three books; I am currently working on a fourth one in the series. I have been speaking publicly since 1996 on the topic of extraterrestrial contact, the Moorish Legacy, human origins, and related matters. I gave a talk at the Human Origins Conference in 2019 on the subject of "The Moor, the Mason and the Alien". Spanning a tremendous cross-cultural spectrum, my talks have inspired a wide range of people from multiple and diverse backgrounds.
What qualities contribute to a successful learning experience?
I believe such an experience comes from a strong foundation of being a leader in my own learning, engaging with the world around me, questioning everything, and thinking for myself. My learning experience is driven by my interests and ability to push through challenges with a determination to succeed. There is a personal drive that stems from an inner motivation and self-discipline to exercise my mind and my body, as well as cultivate good habits. I know how and when to ask for help and am willing to take risks, fail, and learn from my mistakes.
